FreeCell

Play FreeCell online for free. Every card is visible from the start — win with pure strategy, not luck.

How to play

FreeCell deals all 52 cards face up into eight columns. Your goal is to move every card to the four foundations, built up by suit from Ace to King.

In the columns, build downward in alternating colors — a red 6 goes on a black 7.

The four free cells in the top-left corner each hold a single card. Use them as temporary parking spots to dig out the cards you need.

You can move a run of cards together only if you have enough free cells and empty columns to move them one by one.

Nearly every FreeCell deal can be won — if you plan ahead.

Controls
  • Click or tap a card to select it, then click the destination column, free cell or foundation.
  • Drag and drop also works on desktop and touch devices.
  • Double-click (or double-tap) a card to send it to its foundation automatically.
  • Use the Undo button to take back any move.
Tips
  • Free your Aces and low cards early — they unlock the foundations.
  • Keep free cells empty as long as possible; a full set of cells means very few legal moves.
  • Empty columns are more powerful than free cells — they double how many cards you can move at once.
  • Plan the whole dig before you start it: look at which cards are buried under the one you want.
